Board of Supervisors Business Meeting
Minutes of November 20, 2006

The second business meeting for November was held November 20, 2006 at the Great Valley Middle School, Room 154. Kevin R. Kuhn, Chairman, Mike Rodgers, Vice Chairman, Paul Hogan, Charlie Philips, Hugh Willig, Mark Thompson, Esq., Linda M. Csete, Township Administrator, and those on the attached list were present.

The meeting was called to order at 7:43 P.M.

Announcements

Mr. Kuhn announced that the Board met in Executive Session prior to this evening’s meeting to discuss legal and real estate matters.

Mr. Philips announced that the Township was recently awarded $295,000 from the County toward the purchase of conservation easements to preserve the Pigeon Creek Watershed including Reinbow’s End farm and the Coleman property.

Citizen’s Forum/Non-Agenda Items

No matters were brought forward at this time.

Approvals

Minutes of November 6, 2006

Mr. Kuhn moved to approve the minutes of November 6, 2006, and Mr. Philips seconded. Mr. Kuhn called for discussion, and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.

Hearings

Horse-Shoe Trail Ordinance

Mr. Thompson re-opened the hearing to consider an ordinance to address public use of the Horse-Shoe Trail, and the proceedings were recorded by Tom Corcoran, court reporter.

The following items were entered into the record by the Township:

The hearing was closed. Mr. Rodgers moved to adopt Ordinance #138-06, and Mr. Hogan seconded. Mr. Kuhn called for discussion, and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.

Bell & Clapper Conditional Use Application

Mr. Thompson stated that the hearing would open December 4, 2006 to allow time for proper legal advertising.

Robal Associates Curative Amendment Application

Mr. Thompson opened the hearing for the Robal Associates Curative Amendment application, and the proceedings were recorded by Tom Corcoran, court reporter. A letter from James Tupitza, Esq. was received this afternoon via fax in the township office requesting a continuance.

The hearing was continued to December 18, 2006, 7:30 P.M. at the Great Valley Middle School.

Allan Myers Curative Amendment Application

Mr. Thompson indicated that the applicant has withdrawn the application.

Leon and Carol Altemose Curative Amendment Application

Mr. Thompson opened the hearing for the Leon and Carol Altemose Curative Amendment application, and the proceedings were recorded by Tom Corcoran, court reporter.

The hearing was continued to December 18, 2006, 7:30 P.M. at the Great Valley Middle School.

Other Business

Amend the Official Map to include the Pennsylvania Railroad Bed

Mr. Kuhn authorized advertising a hearing to amend the Official Map to include the parcels making up the Pennsylvania Railroad bed for December 18, 2006, 7:30 P.M. at the Great Valley Middle School and Mr. Rodgers seconded. Mr. Kuhn called for discussion, and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.

Authorize Advertisement of Intent to Appoint a Certified Public Accountant to Audit the Accounts for 2006

Mr. Philips authorized advertising the Board’s intention to appoint a Certified Public Accountant to audit the financial records for 2006, and Mr. Rodgers seconded. Mr. Kuhn called for discussion, and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 9:27 P.M. The next meeting is scheduled for December 4, 2006, 7:30 P.M. in Room 154 of the Great Valley Middle School.
