Announcements

Mr. Motel stated that fifteen birdboxes have been installed since the last meeting. 10 Kestrel and 5 Barn Owl boxes now reside on Township and residential properties in Charlestown Township.

Reorganization

2024 Meeting Schedule

The Planning Commission agreed to continue meeting at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month.

Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of Planning Commission

Mr. Richter nominated Mr. Matt Rogers as Chairperson of the Planning Commission and Mr. Dan Walker as the Vice Chairperson. Mr. Motel seconded. Mr. Richter closed the nominations. Mr. Richter called for discussion and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.

Appoint Planning Commission Solicitor

Mr. Richter moved to appoint Ms. Wendy McLean as Planning Commission Solicitor and Mr. Motel seconded. Mr. Richter called for discussion and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.

Approval of Minutes

Mr. Walker moved to approve the December 12, 2023 meeting minutes and Mr. Motel seconded. Mr. Richter called for discussion and there being none called the vote. All were in favor.

Plan Review

Overton - Request for Waiver for Construction of Garage in Front Yard

Mr. Mark Overton presented his request for a waiver to allow the construction of a garage in the front yard of his property at 15 Dobs Lane. The Members asked Mr. Overton about placement, steep slope, design, and the water line that prevents moving the garage closer to the home.

Mr. Motel moved to approve the waiver request for Mark Overton, 15 Dobs Lane, for the construction of a garage in the front yard, subject to the comments of Thomas Comitta, and Mr. Walker seconded. Mr. Richter called for discussion and there being none called the vote. All were in favor.

Administrative Note

Any documents referred to in the minutes are available to the public upon request at the Township office.

There being no further business, Mr. Richter adjourned the meeting at 7:10 p.m. The next meeting will be held on March 12, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Building, 11 General Warren Blvd, Malvern, PA.
