Travel Advisory: March 2025
New Traffic Patterns Begin March 23 for Motorists Exiting Turnpike (I-76) onto Route 29
Potential for Increased Back-up off PA Turnpike Ramps during Peak Hours
March 22, 2025 – The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises Turnpike (I-76) motorists exiting at State Route 29 (Exit 320) to expect new traffic patterns at the exit ramps leading onto State Route 29, starting Sunday, March 23 for up to three months..
Due to a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project on State Route 29, there will be reduced lanes exiting the PA Turnpike, which may lead to stopped or slowed traffic on the exit ramps.
The new traffic pattern is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)’s $22.4 million project to provide long-term sinkhole remediation on U.S. 202 (DeKalb Pike) in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, and on Route 29 (Morehall Road) in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.
